TLT are an independent charity working in partnership with Chester Cathedral and Chester Diocese and part of the Church Urban Fund Together Network of 21 charities across England, linked by faith and driven to tackle poverty, loneliness and social inequality.

Chester Cathedral

We are thrilled to be in partnership with Chester Cathedral. Our staff are employed by the Cathedral and Transforming Lives Together is part of their vision for outreach. Founded as a Benedictine Abbey in 1092, the cathedral has a rich history and a diverse and exciting future. Dedicated to Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mission is to celebrate God’s presence and the aim to embrace the community whilst ensuring the survival of this cathedral for future generations. Transforming Lives Together has a creative and effective partnership with the Cathedral which meets our joint aims of physical and spiritual transformation.

Chester Diocese

Transforming Lives Together has a longstanding, productive relationship with Chester Diocese. We regularly meet to share information and resources and have diocesan representation on our Board. We specifically work in partnership with the outreach and education teams. Transforming Lives Together works across a large geographical area, including the 11 Local Authorities of the Diocese.

Church Urban Fund

The Church Urban Fund (CUF) has been active in local communities for over 30 years. Their vision is to see people and communities all over England flourish and enjoy life in all its fullness. CUF works through the Church of England’s local parish networks, and alongside other faith-based and secular organisations, to bring about positive change in neighbourhoods. One of the main ways in which CUF works locally is through the Together Network, a union of faith-based partnerships across England driven by the desire to tackle social inequality. Transforming Lives Together is a member of the Together Network.
